Deusto Agenda reports the III International Congress on Law and Artificial Intelligence, that took place in Bilbao, Spain on 28/03/2025, organized by the University of Deusto. The congress focused on the intersection of AI and fundamental rights, bringing together legal scholars, technologists, and public officials to address emerging challenges posed by AI systems in society and law.

Panel discussions explored AI’s implications on privacy, discrimination, due process, and democratic control. Special attention was given to the role of law in shaping ethical AI systems and safeguarding constitutional principles. Speakers from various countries contributed to a comparative legal perspective, especially relevant as the EU’s AI Act comes into enforcement.
